I grew up in Rochester, New York, not far from the shores of Lake Ontario. When you grow up around one of the Great Lakes, it becomes more than something you see on a map. It's part of home.
Lake Ontario has always connected two countries and countless communities along its shores. For generations, Americans and Canadians have shared its water, its beauty, its history and the memories made around it.
I also have a personal connection to both sides of that border. My grandmother was Canadian, so when I created this design, it was important to me that the American and Canadian flags stand together as equals.
That's where Always Lake Ontario came from.
The design celebrates the lake itself — sunsets over the water, the shoreline and lighthouse, and the American and Canadian flags together. The message is simple:
Two Nations. One Great Lake.
Whether you're from Rochester or Upstate New York, live across the lake in Ontario, spent summers along the shoreline, fished or boated its waters, or simply have memories connected to the Great Lakes, I hope the design brings back a little bit of that feeling.
Some places are more than a spot on the map. They become part of who we are.
